We’re hosting a Nerikiri workshop in collaboration with Kathryn Bennett of Dartmoor Estate Tea on Saturday 20th August. 2-5pm.
In our workshop you will learn the historical and modern story of Nerikiri sweets and how they’re made.
Kathryn will take you on a tour of the tea gardens, where you can observe and document the micro and macro life of the land that will inspire your own Nerikiri designs, which Claudia will guide you to shape and form using pre prepared dough.
Together we will each enjoy one of our sweets in the tea house with a cup of tea grown and processed on the doorstep at the estate. The rest of your sweets you can take home with you.
Nerikiri is a sweet that is created with the human hand to express and digest the world around us in all its magnitude and miniature detail.
We are excited to share the making of this sweet and the land that will be expressed through your eyes.
With easy routes from Totnes, Buckfastleigh, Ashburton, Exeter and Plymouth. We hope that you can join us.
